Do you know who the soldier is front left, back to camera. My highschool sweetheart SSgt Bobby Balsley was KIA @ Katum on 11/16/68. This so looks like him. Would love any info on him.

I served as BN chaplain for the 1/7 from January '68 to January '69. I really do enjoy looking at the albums on this site. I remember a lot of faces, but I have no luck in putting names with those faces. It has been a long time. I think of those days often. I pray that years have been kind. God bless you.

I am so glad that Marti, sister of Sgt. James Lee Clark, led me to this site. I was a classmate (Richmond High School; Richmond, CA) of Sgt. James Lee Clark. In 1959 I married Jim's sister Marti and had the honor of being his big brother for the next 10 years.
Our son, Paul, was born in 1960 and our daughter, Corine, was born in 1962. Uncle Jim loved them and would do anything for them.
Jim asked me to take him to the airport when it was time to be with all of you guys in Vietnam. On the way to the airport, Jim told me he was going for two reasons, so our kids would never have to go and he wouldn't let his men down.
Our kids never had to go, but we never knew for sure how you guys felt about Jim. Now we know Jim earned your love and respect. That means everything to us.
We have always wanted to thank each and every one of you who were there with him and for him. Thank you all very much.
We pray that each one of you have found peace in your hearts and minds, that is what Jim would want for all of his men, then, now, and forever.
With all of our love and respect from Sgt. Jims family.

Hi B Company. I'm the old CO from Charlie Company 1/7 from Jan 69 to April 68. I was orginally slated for B Company, but was late getting back to Nam so I took over C Company.
