Unknown FB (pic8), I think we called ARTY. Set up in the middle of a road that ran thru a basin. Flat for about a mile. Maybe one or two 55's and a mortar. Got hit by mortars, 14 wounded, all arty. PUFF ON SITE ALL NIGHT. We left next day.circa 7-18-70.

I am blown away by these photos. Some of the ones I have are not preserved that well. This is a great tribute to all who sacrificed, bled, and served. To say that I am touched is not enough. I am so glad I got over it and started making myself available. It was not easy ignoring what we went through and I am so glad that I now can remeber. We survived, hopefully prospered, and we certainly grew up. It was a lifetime ago but it still seems so real. Garry Owen guys, I feel like I am home again.
